RLS : Really Lousy Syndrome
Well, RLS really stands for Restless Leg Syndrome, but hey, it is Really Lousy as well. I'm almost into my 2nd week of trying Sinemet to help it. If there's any medication that I would suggest NOT looking at the side effects unless you have them, it's Sinemet! The list is insanely long. I looked at it only because after a day or two of taking just half the dose, my dreams were super vivid. Of course, that's on the list of side effects. I'd rather have that than any of the others! I think that it's helping so far, and I don't think I'm waking up nearly as often as I used to. My SO hasn't given me a hard time about having kicked him or whacked him in the face in the past week, so that's a good thing! :-)
The headache docs think that once we get my sleeping under control, it's possible that it will help my headaches level out even more. I'm obviously super skeptical at this point, but it's fine. I'm also going to attempt to make an appointment with the sleep doc who read my sleep study this past winter (which, of COURSE, was perfectly fine!?!). Only time will tell...

All my sympathy on the really lousy syndrome. I get it too but only rarely so far - knock wood! I'll add a bit of optimism for you, if you'll permit me - so many of us get head pain relief when our sleep becomes regular so I really really hope this will be true for you too! I know I can handle anything better if I'm just well rested. Good luck!

Hi Joanna,
I've added your blog under chronic illness blogs. Thanks for your comment. I look forward to reading your submission!

hey joanna,
doean't it figure, another syndrome has to kick it's (oops) ugly head in there. When I'm really storming, I get very twitchy and tend to kick an awful lot. I refuse to believe it's anything more.
my best to you
